These contractors in Orlando, FL generated 957 exclusive leads through Service Allies

A group of Orlando, FL contractors work together with Service Allies to get 957 restoration leads with projects that can be covered through homeowners insurance.

In December of 2021, a few restoration contractors in Orlando, Florida teamed up and hired Service Allies to generate leads for them. Since they didn’t want to advertise their business name directly, we set up a separate brand to generate leads from. They started getting leads right away.

At the time of writing, they’ve received a total of 957 leads at an average cost of $45.51 per lead, and their ads have been seen 1,003,310 times! We are still running ads for them to this day.

These campaigns included ads for duct cleaning, drywall repair, mold testing, and more. Their business model is to do an initial home inspection for customers and help them find repairs and remodels that can be covered through insurance. They use our lead management system to track, update, and schedule home inspections with their leads.

After seeing the affect of the branding, they recently decided to fully harness the power of the branding by running ads directly from one of their brands.

More About Mold Remediation Leads

About Our Program

Service Allies offers lead generation to mold remediation contractors. We get exclusive leads by having customers reach out to your business directly, and only work with one contractor per market.

To get leads, we set up Facebook ad campaigns on your company’s behalf. We do this by getting access to your company Facebook page, or creating a Facebook page for you. We run ads to local homeowners within your service area.

The key to getting leads through Facebook is knowing how to approach your target customers. Peter, the owner of Service Allies, has been working with home improvement contractors for the past 5 years and has helped generate over $23 million in revenue through Facebook Ads.

Why Facebook Ads

Facebook offers a powerful way to get mold remediation leads through its ads platform. There are two main reasons why:

1. The Customer Buying Window

For many homeowners, mold isn’t treated as an emergency (even if it should be.) They may know that they need to hire a professional for mold remediation, but they may not feel the need to act on it right away. And if they have minor mold on their kitchen cabinets, for example, they may delay for a long time.

What this means is that, at any given time, there is a large pool of homeowners who are in the market for mold remediation.

Let’s contrast this with water mitigation. If a homeowner’s washing machine floods their basement, they will have a water mitigation on the phone within minutes if not seconds. The buying window is very small, so you don’t have much time to get in front of this customer with a Facebook ad.

With mold, however, customers don’t act as quickly. This gives you lots of time to get in front of them with a Facebook ad, and get them to reach out to your business. This makes Facebook ads an excellent way to get mold remediation leads.

2. Ads Show Based on Activity

A powerful feature of Facebook ads is the ability to show ads to users based on their activity. Have you ever been talking about something and then see an ad for it the next day? Lots of people have similar experiences.

Facebook’s algorithm seems to “know” when people are in the market. So if a homeowner starts searching for information about mold, for example, Facebook may begin to show ads to them from a local mold remediation company.

Example Mold Remediation Campaigns

Here are a few examples of ad campaigns we can run to get mold remediation prospects. (The campaigns we run for your company might be different, depending on your process, your local market, and other factors.)

1. You May Be Entitled to a New Kitchen or Bathroom through Insurance

A picture of a hand holding a test tube with a mold specimen in it above a kitchen base cabinet.

If a homeowner has mold, they may qualify for insurance coverage to repair or replace the damaged items. Mold on kitchen cabinets, for example, might mean a ten thousand dollar check from insurance.

One of the campaigns we run that we’ve seen success with is “You may be entitled to a new kitchen through insurance!” When they fill out the lead form, it explains that if they have mold or water damage, they may qualify for insurance coverage.

There is very little friction for the homeowner with this campaign, and it tends to generate a high volume of leads.

When you work with the customer, you can charge for mold testing and remediation, and guide them on filing a claim if that is within your scope of work.

2. Looking for a Mold Remediation Expert?

A picture of a ceiling with dark scattered spots of mold.

This style of campaign is more direct. It will attract customers who already know they have mold, and have been thinking about hiring an expert to take care of it. Lead cost may be higher on this campaign, but there’s a good chance that lead quality will be better.

3. Suspect Mold? Get a Property Inspection

This campaign targets homeowners who suspect they have mold, but aren’t sure. Or, they aren’t sure if the mold is serious and warrants hiring an expert. Depending on your market, leads may be inexpensive. But selling these inspections and remediation may require a stronger sales process than other types of campaigns.

ROI (Return on Investment) Scenario

At Service Allies, our average cost for mold remediation leads is between $40 to $50 in ad spend. Please note: this does not include our monthly management fee. For more information about our monthly fee, please schedule a full demo of our services.

Let’s look at some potential scenarios for return on ad spend.

Let’s say you spend $2000 on ads and your average lead cost is $50. This would get you 40 mold remediation leads.

Out of those 40, if your booking rate is 30%, you would schedule 12 appointments.

Out of those 12, if your close rate is 50%, you would close 6 deals for mold inspections. Assuming an average mold inspection ticket of $2,000, this would get you $12,000 in revenue.

If 2 out of those 6 deals turn into full mold remediation projects, you could generate another $10,000 to $50,000. (Let’s say $30,000, for this example.)

If the math worked out this way, you would sell $30,000 in revenue from just $2,000 in ad spend (A 1:15 ad spend to revenue ratio.)

Please note: this is a projection based on simple math and not a prediction or guarantee.

Success with Mold Remediation Leads

Here are some items that will help you be more successful with Service Allies’ mold remediation leads.

1. A Strong Follow-Up Process

Scheduling leads and having a solid booking rate (30% or more) requires a good follow-up process.

This means calling leads quickly, and following up a few times via phone call and text if they don’t pick up right away. Service Allies offers Appointment Setter Training to help you book as many leads as possible. Following this process will help you get better results from our program.

2. A Strong Sales Process

To sell mold inspections and remediation, you’ll need to know how to listen to customers and offer solutions. You will also need good equipment to properly perform the inspections.

Ideally, you should be able to offer quotes on the spot for mold inspections. But if you can’t, scheduling a follow-up appointment with these customers will help you close the deal.

3. Good Reviews and Professional Website

While good reviews and a professional website aren’t required to generate leads, they will help you convert homeowners who don’t immediately become leads.

Instead of filling out a form on Facebook, some homeowners prefer to do the research first. They click off Facebook and search for your company to look at reviews and look at your website. Since your ads will be seen 25,000 to 70,000 times every month, this tends to happen a lot.

Having good reviews and a professional website will give these homeowners confidence to reach out to you. Instead of reaching out through the Facebook form, they will fill out a form on your website or call you directly.
